I can't believe I leave the States in just 6 days! I will be making a stop at PLU to visit my friends one last time before heading off to Paris for 4 months. Packing is not going as well as I had anticipated. It seems I want to bring my entire dorm room with me, but alas, it won't all fit in two medium-sized suitcases! Drat! I just don't know what I'll need for sure--it's hard to plan for everything. I've packed for 3-month-long-trips before, but that was just to Minnesota and I pretty much could wear t-shirts and jeans most days. I've been told that won't fly in Paris. (Here's to hoping I won't stick out too much as an American thanks to my complete lack of fashion knowledge...)
I've sent a few e-mails back and forth with my host mom and she seems very nice. Right now we are trying to coordinate how I'm going to get from the CDG airport to her house. It looks like my best bet is to take the RER B (a metro-like train) to a specific stop close to their house and then my host dad can pick me up from there and drive me the remaining few miles to their home. I hope that I can do all that with two full suitcases and a backback...hmmm...should be interesting...
